Marie C. Warlick

Marie C. Warlick, 69, of Hwy 181 North, Morganton, NC died Friday, March 06, 2009 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC following a period of declining health. Born in Burke County, NC on July 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Roy Vester Coffey and Nannie Mooney Coffey. Marie was a member of Mtn Grove United Methodist Church. She retired from Drexel Heritage after twenty-five years of service and was an avid reader.A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her sons, Doug Warlick and wife, Ronda, Dean Warlick and wife, Debbie, and Dennis Warlick and wife, Frances, all of Morganton; brothers, Johnny Coffey and Ned Coffey, both of Morganton; sisters, Frances Whisnant of Morganton and Brenda Polson of Camden, SC; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Zane Warlick; a daughter, Cynthia Denise Warlick; and brothers, Wayne Coffey and Preston Coffey.

The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Brantley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence, 4813 Hwy 181 North, Morganton.
