Marie Taylor Hoyle

Marie Taylor Hoyle, 92, of Morganton, NC died Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Born in Burke County, NC on March 31, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Gilkie Curtis Taylor and Beuna Emma Estelle Hildebrand Taylor. Marie was a member of Amherst Baptist Church and had retired from Central Personnel of Drexel-Heritage Furnishings.Marie is survived by her daughter, Wanda Hoyle Nichols of Morganton; a brother, Ned R. Taylor and his wife, Peggy, of Connelly Springs, NC; sisters, Faye Stilwell, Marge Stilwell, and Merlene Burns and her husband, Auby, all of Connelly Springs; a brother-in-law, Clete Hoyle and his wife, Bea, of Connelly Springs; a sister-in-law, Irene Hoyle of Casar, NC; and a number of nephews and nieces.In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, W. Edwin "Ed" Hoyle, and a brother, Ralph H. Taylor.The graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2013 at Burke Memorial Park with the Rev. Harold Joplin officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amherst Baptist Church, 1024 Amherst Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
