Marion Tull Edwards Harris

Marion Tull Edwards Harris, 66, of Morganton, NC, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Born in Newport, RI, on January 10, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Lee Edwards, Jr. and Marion Parrott Tull Edwards.  Tull was a member of North Morganton United Methodist Church.  She was a retired dental hygienist and was active in various civic and charitable organizations.

Tull is survived by her sons, Baker Frederick Harris and First Lieutenant Charles Edwards Harris, USAF, and wife, Captain Abigail McLure Harris, USA; sisters, Winifred E. Williford and husband, Donald Williford, and Colonel Evelyn E. Egan, USAFR, Ret.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Tull was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Warren Harris, Jr., and brother, Frederick Lee Edwards, III.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2022, at Sossoman Funeral Home.  A celebration of Tull’s life will follow at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Neill Shaw and Rev. David Rorie officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choosing.
