Mark Douglas Greene

Mark Douglas Greene, 55, of Morganton, NC passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 after a lifelong battle with muscular dystrophy. Born in Burke County, NC on October 27, 1957, he was the son of Jesse Lewis Greene and Jeannie Carol Mace Greene of Morganton.In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by a sister, Karla Sue Mullins of Morganton; a very special niece, Jillian Greene of Indian Trail, NC; and his long-time friend, Karen Self Cox of Shepherdsville, KY.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sososman Funeral Home with the Rev. David Orders officiating. Entombment will follow in Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
