Mark H. "Hatch" Patton

Mark H. "Hatch" Patton, 46, of Conley Rd. in Morganton died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at his residence. He was born Oct. 14, 1962 in Burke County, NC and was a son of Charles "Bill" Patton of Morganton and the late Betty Jo Patton. He was a big NASCAR fan.In addition to his father, Mark is survived by his long time companion, Becky Pollard of Morganton; a nephew, Charlie Patton of Morganton; and number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl William Patton.Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2009 at Glen Alpine Cemetery with Rev. Rocky Reece officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.
