Marshall Andrew McCall, 69, of Morganton died Tuesday, April 2, 2019. Born in Burke County, NC on February 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Clyde Robert McCall and May Selma Lingerfelt McCall. Marshall was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the NC National Guard and loved sports, especially baseball and softball.
Mr. McCall is survived by his wife, Susan Watts McCall of the home; children, Angie McCall Webb (Jason) of Morganton and Andy McCall (Nikki) of Drexel; step-son, Eddie McDevitt (Lili) of Waco, TX; grandchildren, Connor Webb, Macey Webb, Makynna McCall, Brayleigh McCall, and Savannah, Colt, Alysha, Evangeline, Alex, Lucus, Thomas, and Emma; brother, Harvey McCall (Charlene) of Glen Alpine; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by a brother, Bob McCall.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Catawba Valley Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the church with Rev. Dean Hart, Rev. David Orders, and Chaplain Jason Webb officiating. Entombment will follow in Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with military honors provided by the NC National Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Catawba Valley Baptist Church Building Fund.
