Martha "Mawmaw" Webb

Martha "Mawmaw" Webb, 51, of St. Mary’s Church Rd., Morganton, NC died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Valdese General Hospital. She was born April 2, 1956 in Cleveland County, and was a daughter of Delia Faye Hudson White of Morganton and the late James Clayton White. Martha was a member of Son-Light Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Sara Lee Textiles, and was currently working at Shadowline Mfg.In addition to her mother, Martha is survived by her husband, of 37 years, Roger Clarence Webb of the home; children, Tim Webb and wife, Kelsey, Teresa Woody and husband, Jeff, and Christy French and husband, Naaman, all of Morganton; brothers, Rufus White, Donald White, and Jerry White, all of Morganton; sisters, Betty Brown and Mildred Sheets, both of Morganton; and grandchildren, Allie, Anna, and Cooper Webb, Mindy Woody, Jessica Webb and Brian Webb, and Haley French.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Junior White; and a sister, Barbara White.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Son-Light Baptist Church with the Reverends Jimmy Harmon and Gary Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 until 2 pm at the church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Tim Webb. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
