Mary Ann Wiseman

Mary Ann Wiseman, 72, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, January 10, 2015.  Born in Burke County, NC on April 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Gaither Daniel Gross and Maggie Lee Townsend Gross.  Mary was a very hard worker and she dearly loved her feline and canine companions.

A devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary is survived by her husband, William Wiseman of the home; children, Michael Cook and his wife, Melissa, of Boiling Springs, SC and Sherry Sessoms and her fiancé, Joe Woodell, of Hudson, NC; grandchildren, William Sessoms, Jr., Maggie LeeAnne Cook, Summer Alexis Carpenter, and Andrew Michael Cook; and a sister, Shirley Garrett of Hickory, NC.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Frankie Alan Melton; two brothers; and two sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Wally Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
