Mary Beatrice Proctor Taylor

Mary Beatrice Proctor Taylor, 80 of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2018. She was born January 28, 1938 in Cleveland County, NC and was the daughter of the late Earl Proctor and Hattie Cline Proctor. Mary was a member of Praise Assembly of God. She was a devoted mother who loved her family dearly. Mary retired from Henredon Furniture. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eugene Taylor.

She is survived by her companion, George Allen Buff; daughter, Margie Weaver of Hendersonville; sons, Michael Taylor and fiancée, Elizabeth Perkins, Casmir Szott of Raleigh and Andrew Szott of Brevard; brother, Buck Proctor and wife, Rachel of Cleveland County; three grandchildren, one niece; and a host of extended family.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Crawford officiating.
