Mary Edna Hensley Brittain, 77, of Morganton, NC died Wednesday, February 13, 2019 after nineteen years of an extended illness. She was born on June 1, 1941 to the late John Albert Hensley and Elizabeth Burnett Hensley. Mary was a member of Mt Home Baptist Church. She was the owner of the Copper Kettle Restaurant.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, John Albert Jr., Frank Kenneth, James Hiram, and Bill McCary Hensley.
She is survived by a brother, Jack Hensley (Beatrice) of Morganton; a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Carol Buchanan and Bobby Rhodes of Morganton.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm til 3:00pm, Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Mt Home Baptist Church. The service will be at 3:00pm in the church with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt Home Baptist Church Building Fund or to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.
