Mary Ella Clark Erb

Mary Ella Clark Erb, 75, of Rose Carswell Rd. Morganton, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory following a period of declining health. She was born December 10, 1931 in Burke County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Postell Clark and Annie Katherine Byrd Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Bob" Clark. Mary was a member of the Way of the Cross Baptist Church.She is survived by a son, Robert Steven "Steve" Erb of Morganton; daughters, Carla Baker and husband, Kenneth, Sr., and Teena Norman and husband, Gerald, all of Morganton; brothers, Paul "Buzz" Clark and Derrill Clark, and a sister, Maxine Taylor, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Kenneth, Jr. and Jason Baker, Jeremy and Amanda Norman; and a great grandson, Gavin Baker.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the Way of the Cross Baptist Church with the Reverends Eugene Pons and Richard Ellington officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at Sossoman Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 5500 Rose Carswell Rd., Morganton.
