Mary Etta Hudson, 64, died Monday, October 23, 2017. Born in Burke County, NC on July 19, 1953, she was the daughter of Arlene Hudson of Morganton and the late Louie John Hudson. Mary attended Wilkes Grove Baptist Church and Calvary Assembly of God.
In addition to her mother, Mary is survived by her sister, Rosa Huffman of Morganton; nieces, Tammy Rigdon and husband, Charles, and Deanna Lowman and husband, John; nephews, Luke Hudson and wife, Amanda, and John Hudson and wife, Amber great-niece, Ashley Parlier, and husband, Tyler; great-nephews, Dillon Saulman and Blake Rigdon; and a number of other extended family.
In addition to her father, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Teddy Dean Hudson; special cousin, Carry Carswell; and a special friend, Robert Hardin.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3p.m., with the funeral following at 3 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Walker Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times the family will be at the residence on Walker Chapel Road.
