Mary Frances Sistrunk Davis of Morganton, NC (previously Charlotte, NC) passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
She was born December 2, 1927 in Greenwood, SC to the late Oliver Morrah Sistrunk and Minnie Manley Sistrunk. She was a 1946 graduate of Central High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, and retired from Duke Energy/Mill Power Supply Company on April 1, 1990.
She was preceded by her husband of 71 years, John Calloway Davis Jr. (J.C.), her parents and a brother, Bruce Ronald Sistrunk.
She is survived by two daughters Marcia Craig and her husband Jim; Libby Smith and her husband, J.D.; a granddaughter Ashley S. Lawing and husband Jason; a grandson Kevin B. Smith and wife Leslie, four great grandchildren Avery, Jaxon, Blake and Brooke, and a brother Floyd O. Sistrunk and his wife Katherine.
Mary was a member of First Baptist Church in Charlotte. She enjoyed reading, genealogy, and spending time with her family.
A private graveside service will be at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.
Memorials may be made to the ministry of the donor’s choosing.
