Mary Lee Adams, 78, of Morganton, NC, formerly of the Glen Alpine Community, died Monday, December 17, 2012. Born November 4, 1934 in Burke County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Clinton Leroy "Roy" Teague and Mae Hamby Teague. Mary Lee was a member of Calvin Heights Baptist Church. She worked at several textile plants in the area, NC Department of Veterans and also at the Morganton History Museum. Mary Lee volunteered with the Burke County Board of Elections, in voter registration. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mary Lee loved life and lived every day to the fullest.She is survived by sons, Steven Ray Adams, Eric Clinton Adams, and Brian Douglas Adams, all of Glen Alpine; grandchildren, Seth, Mark, Joshua, Meredith, and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Megan , Chelsea , and Nicholas; sisters, Linda Crawford and husband, George, and Brenda Penley and husband, Richard; a brother, Johnny Teague and wife, Betty; as well as several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Ray Adams; a daughter, Robbie Lynn Adams; and sisters, Mabel Iris Teague and Elois Faye Leach.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Kevin Crawford and Rev. Paul Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
