Mary McGee McDonald

Mary McGee McDonald, 86, of Hickory, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born in Burke County, NC on February 9, 1921, she was a daughter of the late John P. McGee and Lockie Chapman McGee. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Milt, Vester, Sam, Claude, Frank, Oscar, and Fred McGee, and by sisters, Sarah Patton and Alma Whisnant. Mary was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church in Falmouth, VA.She is survived by a sister, Bonnie Louella Rodney, of Morganton and by a number of nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2007 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Reverends Harold Ash and Jerry Hildebran officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Nebo, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
