Mary St. John Saulman, 72, of Morganton died Thursday, January 28, 2021. Born in Caldwell County, NC on March 18, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Frank Jessie St. John and Myrtle Helen Painter St. John. Mary was a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and baking for her grandbabies.
Mary is survived by her husband, Charlie Saulman of the home; son, Jeff Saulman (Kim); grandchildren, Kirstin Bryant (Justin), Ashley Parlier (Tyler), and Dillion Saulman (Megan); great-grandchildren, Aiden Bryant, Kendall Bryant, Ryleigh Bryant, and Maxwell Parlier; sister, Carolyn Ollis; brother, Rev. Douglas St. John (Betty); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Junior St. John; and sisters, Frances Harmon and Betty Clark.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at Bible Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the church with the Revs. Ricky Watkins and Douglas St. John officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
