Max D. Watts

Max D. Watts, 80, of Morganton, NC, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022.  Born in Morganton on August 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Albert and Lucy Watts.

Max was known for his integrity and his willingness to share his knowledge, time, and resources.  He will be greatly missed by his family and community.

Max is survived by his wife, Dale Watts; daughter, Deanna Hines and husband, Jeff; son, Michael Watts and wife, Sheri; and grandchildren, Rachel and Nathan.

A private graveside service was held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Denton’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Phillip Hefner officiated.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
