Maxine Taylor

Maxine Taylor, 85, of Morganton, NC died Sunday, March 20, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on October 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Clingman Postell Clark and Annie Byrd Clark. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sons, Wayne Taylor and his wife, Jane, and Dwight Taylor and his wife, Kari, all of Glen Alpine, NC; daughter, Patsy Aiken and her husband, Kelly, of Morganton and Tammy Creasman and her husband, Ray, of Connelly Springs, NC; grandchildren, Benita Green, Sharon Aiken, Charles “Bill” Taylor, Randy Taylor, Deedee Taylor, Brooke Rich, and Haley Johnson; great-grandchildren, Brad Rose, Chad Rose, Casstin Taylor, Jocelyn Taylor, Calen Rich, Chelsey Taylor, and Locklyn Rich; great-great-grandchildren, Brayden Rose, Kaylyn Taylor, Zoey Taylor, Jase Taylor, and Maddie Taylor; two step-grandchildren, Cory and John Garrett; sisters-in-law, Glennis Clark, Margaret Epley, and Betty Jean Taylor; and a number of nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Edward “Pat” Taylor; a daughter, Cynthia Gail Birchfield; brothers, Bobby, Paul “Buzz”, and Derril Clark; and a sister, Mary Erb.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Burke Memorial Park.
