Michael Dean “Bubba” Causby

Michael Dean “Bubba” Causby, 42, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, August 23, 2014. Born in Burke County, NC on January 3, 1972, he was the son of Sterling Causby and the late Marilyn Lee Wheeling Causby. Bubba was employed as a mechanic at 64 Cycles and he loved to ride motorcycles and ATVs. Early in his life he attended Missionary Ridge Baptist Church with his mother.
Bubba is survived by his father and step-mother, Sterling “Shad” Causby and Sandra Mace Causby of Morganton, with whom Bubba made home; cousins, Jimmy Ray Causby and his son, Jake Causby, and Bill Sipes, Wayne Wheeling, and David Wheeling; an aunt, Kathy Causby; and special friends, Kenneth “K-Dawg” Cook, “Uncle” Phil Calhoun, and Allen “Bones’ Clark.
In addition to his mother, Bubba was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Louise Pearson Causby and Paul and Ora Warlick Wheeling.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Darvy Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
