Michael "Mike’ Nolan passed into the hands of his Savior on April 2, 2014. He was born in Painesville, OH on November 8, 1945 and was a son of the late William and Marie Nolan. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.Over his 68 years he was dedicated to family and friends and to his profession with a passion few know. Husband, father, brother, uncle, son, son-in-law were some of his favorite titles, but the one that fit him most was teacher. He could talk to anyone with ease and enjoyed sharing an educational moment. Mike loved history, cars, woodworking, and the decorative surface industry.Mike is held close to the heart of his wife, Terry Nolan; his children, Kevin Nolan and Kimberly McLaughlin and her husband, Colin; step-son, Daniel Schmitz and wife, Debra; brother, Craig Nolan and wife, Judy; sisters, Marcia Monahan and Lynn Kemerait; sister-in-law, Bonnie Nolan and their families….and all the lives that he touched.A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Whittington officiating with military honors conducted by the NC National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
