Mildred Jane Tweed

Mildred Jane Tweed, 77, of Connelly Springs, NC passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021.  Born in Burke County, NC on May 31, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William Sanford Butler and Vadie Christine Huffman Butler.  Mildred worked for the Dept. of Social Services and enjoyed gardening.  She loved her family very much, and she would give anything she had, even if they didn’t need it.

Mildred is survived by her sons, Curtis and Travis Tweed; grandson, Curtis Tweed, II; brother, Clyde Butler; and sisters, Ann Guy and Gladys Butler.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by brothers, Steirs and William Butler; and sisters, Sarah Cline, Margie Butler, and Ginny Ramsey.

The cryptside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
