Millard Luther Caldwell

Millard Luther Caldwell, 78, of Rector Corner, Marshall, NC died Friday, January 30, 2009 at the John F. Keever Solice Center in Asheville, NC following a period of declining health. Born in Madison Co., NC on June 15, 1930, he was the son of the late Jack Caldwell and Minnie Sherlin Caldwell. Millard was a member of the Marshall Community Baptist Church.He is survived by his sisters, Victoria Ward of Marshall, Josephine Kean of Basom, NY, and Jeanette Swift of Lincoln Park, MI.In addition to his parents, Millard was preceded in death by a son, Millard Larry Caldwell.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
