Moleta Baker Harris

Moleta Baker Harris, 81 of Drexel died Saturday, December 21, 2013. She was born June 6, 1932 in Burke County to the late Preston G. Baker and Wilma Inez Houser Baker. Moleta was an active member of Enon Baptist Church and served on the Flower Committee. She was a great seamstress and the owner of M&M; Seamers. She was a loving and Godly mother and grandmother and friend to many, especially her church family. Moleta had an infectious spirit and laugh and enjoyed life to the fullest She was an avid sports fanatic and shopper.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lamont Tilden Harris.Moleta is survived by her children, Pamela Richards and her husband, Barry of Vale, Monty Harris, Jr., Donna McGuire and her husband, Tim, Sheila McKenzie and her husband, Kevin and Michelle Shaw and her husband, Mark all of Drexel; siblings, Preston Baker, Jr. and his wife, Betty of Greenville, SC, David Baker of Atlanta, GA, Thera Sigmon of Valdese and Nana Williams and her husband, Merritt of Morganton; grandchildren, Brandon and Ben Richards, Jessica Christian, Mindy McGuire Blackwell, Dusty McGuire, Alicia Barlowe, Ariel Shaw, Molly and Tyler McKenzie; great grandchildren, Jace and Emily Richards, Addison and Archer Blackwell, Maddie McGuire and Kaysen Lucas.A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2013 at Enon Baptist Church with the Reverands Gary Garner and Ernie Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
