Molton “Molt” Ollis

Molton “Molt” Ollis, 73, of Morganton, NC passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. He was born on January 17, 1948 to the late Arnold Bailey Ollis, Sr. and Yvonne Vick Ollis. He was a member of River Valley Baptist Church. Molt was a truck driver for most of his life and had a passion for classic cars. His love and dedication for his family, including his beloved dog Buffie, was limitless. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Dixie Falkner; brother, Arnold Bailey Ollis, Jr.; and niece, Cindy Ollis Zimmer.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Bryant Ollis; daughter, Beth Parlier; grandchildren, Megan Parlier, Katie Parlier and Ali McFarland; brothers, Jace Ollis and Mark Ollis; sisters, Bonnie Ollis Kaylor and Rhonda Ollis; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Molt will lie in state from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Friday, January 22, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Burke Memorial Park with Pastor Billy Forbes officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
