Mr. Robert Chandler Jr., 50, of Morganton died unexpectedly, Saturday August 13, 2011 at his residence Formerly of Lincoln County he was born May 5, 1961 to Robert Chandler Sr. and Maxine Shelton Chandler of Morganton.Mr. Chandler had worked for Drexel Heritage for a number of years in the maintenance department.In addition to his parents he survived by a son, Aaron Chandler, of Stanley; brother, Bruce Chandler, of Fallston; and many other family members.A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday August 15, 2011 at Riverside Baptist Church with the Reverend Burl Sain officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Monday August 15, 2011.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Baptist Church, 516 NC 126, Morganton, NC 28655.
