Mrs. Garlene Burdette Francis

Mrs. Garlene Burdette Francis, of Morganton, formerly of Ames, Iowa, passed on the morning of Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. She was born September 24, 1938 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to the late Garland Burdette and Ellavine Kathryn Miller Burdette. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic in Ames, Iowa. In addition to her parents Mrs. Francis was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Francis.Mrs. Francis in survived by a son, Jeff Francis; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Jarrod Bailey; and a grandson, Derek Keller, all of Morganton.The family will receive friend from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Sossoman Funeral Home. Funeral services and burial will be held at a later date in Ames, Iowa.
