Namon Harold Lewis

Namon Harold Lewis, 62, of N. Main St., Drexel, NC died Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was born on December 31, 1944 in McDowell County and was a son of the late Jesse Wilson Lewis and Alda Lavada Randolph Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a member of Carswell Memorial Baptist Church.Surviving are his daughter, Michelle Seay; a brother, David Lewis and his wife, Nellie; sisters, Ruth Ann Epley and Brenda Johnson; all of Morganton; grandchildren, Tyler Cook and Autumn Seay; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dakota Seay.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2007, at Carswell Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Tammy Smith, 1960 US 64, Morganton.
