Nancy Jane Pearson

Nancy Jane Pearson, 65, died June 28, 2010. She was born on August 4, 1944 in Burke County and was a daughter of Helen Jeanette Greene Smith and the late Willie Robert Smith.Surviving are her children, Robert Pearson and wife, Penny of Valdese, Leonard Pearson and Bobby Pearson both of Morganton; and Mary Pearson of Hickory; her siblings, Sue Fritts and husband, Harvey, Linda Smith, Margie Messer, Robert Smith and wife, Ruth, and Roy Smith all of Morganton, and Irene Tomlin of Tennessee; and a number of grandchildren and nieces and nephews.In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pearson, two brothers, and five sisters.The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Roy A. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
