Nancy Ross Wilson

Nancy Ross Wilson, 77, of Morganton died Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Born in Burke County, NC on December 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Calvin Ross and Nellie May Poteat Ross. Nancy was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she served on the Kitchen Committee. She retired from Service America where she was supervisor of the cafeteria of Southern Devices and was also District Supervisor for 26 years.
Nancy is survived by her son, Doug Wilson and his wife, Gail, of Morganton; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Wilson of Claremont; grandchildren, Tiffany Wilson, Nathan Wilson and his wife, Morgan, Jennifer Wilson Stotts and her husband, Rick, and Blake Wilson; four great-grandchildren, Chase Stotts, Madison Stotts, Raelyn Wilson, and Skyler Durham; brothers, Pat Ross and his wife, Geneva, of Morganton and Fred Ross and his wife, Yoskco, of Denver, CO; and a sister, Jeanette Beck and her husband, Buddy, of Morganton.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel D. Wilson; and two sons, Dennis K. Wilson and Richard Wilson.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Cline officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
