Nathan Alan Williams, 22 of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 6, 2018. He was born July 5, 1995 in Burke County, NC and was the son of Steve Alan Williams and Angela Dawn Hartman Williams. Nathan was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a loving son and brother who loved his family, friends and his companion Lab, “Oakley”. Nathan was always smiling and had a caring heart for people, especially those in need. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, riding dirt bikes, MX or cross country. Nathan loved baseball and was an exceptional athlete. He was passionate always thinking, and coming up with big ideas. Nathan enjoyed working with his hands doing any type of construction. He especially loved people and wanted everybody to be happy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thurman and Theressa Williams, and Carroll “Pappy” Hartman; and uncle, Randy Williams.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Madison Williams and fiancé, Trevor Ratliff; grandmother, Nina “Nanny” Hartman; uncles, Bill Williams and wife, Arlean, and Kyle Setzer and wife, Terrie; aunt, Esther Smith and husband, Randy; and numerous cousins and extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11th at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverends Dr. Larry Cline and Dr. Jack Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 5:00 p.m., Wednesday at Patton High School Baseball Field. Following the receiving we will have special words and a remembrance ceremony from Rev. Eddy Bunton, Pastor Jamie Torres and Brigham McNeely.
