Nathan Lee Digh, 30, of Acorn Dr. in Morganton died Friday, March 12, 2010 as a result of an auto accident. He was born April 27, 1979 in Burke County, and was the son of William Wallace Digh, Jr. and Rebecca Chapman Osborne, both of Morganton. Nathan was employed at C & C Roofing, and was an avid hunter.Nathan is survived by his mother and step-father, Rebecca and Jimmy Osborne; father and step-mother, Bill Digh, Jr. and Anita; a son, Tyler Digh of the home; a sister, Kristen Digh of the home; maternal grandparents, Lee and Zora Chapman, paternal grandparents, Bill Digh, Sr. and Elva; uncle, Rex Chapman, aunt, Patricia Burnette; and a special aunt, Renee Dale, all of Morganton.He was preceded in death by a cousin, Sam Chapman; and a great-grandfather, Sam Chapman.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in the Roy Sheehan Fellowship Hall of Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Darvy Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapman Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Rex Chapman, 4395 Bill Dale Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ethan Tyler Digh Trust Fund, c/o Rebecca C. Osborne, 2735 Acorn Dr., Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
