Ned Clive Price, 79, of Morganton, NC, went to his heavenly home Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

Born in Ashe County, NC on February 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Burl Price and Pearl Cornett Price.

Ned has been a member of Zion Baptist Church in January of 1985. He had served in the sound booth and as a Sunday school teacher. Talented with his hands, Ned worked as an upholsterer with RIST Corporation, Knob Creek, and Carr and Company. He built his own house, and he loved his Fords.

Ned is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judith Chandler Price; children, Kevin Price (girlfriend, Tonya), Hope Price, Lori Norville (Buford), and Brian Watson (Shelly); grandchildren, Heather Riddle (Dustin), Elizabeth Hurt (Dustin), Mitchell Norville (girlfriend, Loretta), and Derek Benfield (Brittani); great-grandchildren, Aiden Bowman, Paisley Riddle, Kelby Benfield, Miller Benfield, Beau Benfield, and Bradley Benfield; sisters, Mary Alice Watson (Alvin), Linda Smith, Patsy Church (Larry), Mildred Ford, and Bernice Gragg (Larry); brothers, Kenneth Price (Debra) and Bryan Price (Sandy); sister-in-law, Brenda Price; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Ned was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Price; and brothers-in-law, Johnny Smith and Dwight Ford.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2025 at Zion Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the church with Rev. Keith Rose and Rev. Brandon Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
