Nell Clark Lail

Nell Clark Lail, 68, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, February 9, 2013. Born February 3, 1945 in Burke County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert Delane Clark and Anna Eliza Keller Clark. Nell graduated in 1964 from Oak Hill High School. She worked for many years at the North Carolina School for the Deaf and Broughton Hospital.Nell is survived by a daughter, Rhonda K. Ross of Morganton; a grandson, Zachary Ross; brothers and their wives, Charles and Lou Anne Clark, George and Nancy Clark, and Carl and Susan Clark, all of Morganton; sisters and their husbands, Huse and Bob Powell of Morganton, and Saundra and Darrell Beck of Thomasville, NC; brothers-in-law, John Rhyne and Earl McMahon; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Clark and Gail Clark.In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny and Harold Clark; and sisters, Ruth Greene, Joyce McMahon, and Julia Rhyne.A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Parker officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Memorial gifts may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
