Nell Rader Clark

Nell Rader Clark, 98, a long-time Morganton resident, residing in Charlotte for the past seven years, died July 19, 2012 following a brief illness.

She was born in Caldwell County on June 26, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Robert Blackwell Rader and Della Mae Anderson Rader. Nell was the last living charter member of Mimosa Chapter 269 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Claudia White Shrine No. 12 in Hickory, NC. She was a long-time member of the Dorcas Class of the First Baptist Church in Morganton, NC. She retired from Rose’s Inc. in 1984 after 21 years of service.In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Clark.She is survived by her three sons, Robert T. Clark and wife, Diane, of Morganton, Joe D. Clark and wife, Judy, of Charlotte, and Harold A. Clark of Morganton; three grandsons, Robert T. Clark, Jr. of Columbia, SC, Marcus C. Clark of Smyrna, GA, and Jeffrey A. Clark of Asheville, NC; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty R. Davis of Morganton.The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2012 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Dr. Thomas A. Bland, Jr. officiating.
