Norbert Ernst Kaeslingk

Norbert Ernst Kaeslingk, 78, loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, and step-grandfather, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014.  Born in Stettin Germany on June 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Bruno Kaeslingk and Irmgard Seeger Kaeslingk.  Norbert was a member of First United Methodist Church.  He earned his Ph.D. from the Technical University Hannover, Germany and moved to the US in the early 1977 to work with Volkswagen.  He later worked for Continental Teves from which he retired as Director of Quality Insurance. Norbert Kaeslingk loved to garden, skiing, and travel.

Norbert is survived by his wife, Patricia Kay Bachman of the home. His children; Ansgar Kaeslingk, Birgit Arb and her husband, Kirk, and Ricarda Steigerwald and her husband, Lou; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. His wife’s children’s; Mark Bachman and his wife, Kim, Todd Bachman and his wife, Lynn, Joel Bachman and his wife, Barb, Kimberly Bachman, Michael Bachman and nine step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Norbert’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Dr. John Fowler officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1-2pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
