Pam McFalls Hicks

Pam McFalls Hicks, 65, of Morganton passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019.  Born in Newport News, VA on December 26, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Rance McFalls and Annie Faye Biggerstaff McFalls.  Pam retired from Burke County Public Schools in 2012.  Pam was a dedicated teacher who loved her students as her own.  She was a wonderful wife and mother, serving her family.  Her family was her life and greatest joy.  She loved the Lord and prayed daily for the peace, love, and happiness for all her family.

Pam is survived by her husband, Eddie Hicks of the home; children, Rance Hicks (Lacy) and Adrian Rickert (Jody); grandchildren, Anna James Rickert and Colton Hicks; siblings, Peggy Fairbanks (Shirley) and Roger McFalls (Leigh); mother-in-law, Irene Hicks; and sisters-in-law, Tracey Hicks and Tracy Hicks.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Malcolm Hicks; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Hicks.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Marshall officiating.  Entombment will follow in Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum.
