Pansy B. Puett

Pansy B. Puett, 83, of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Born in Burke County, NC on June 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Perry Alonzo Bumgarner and Julia Ellen Watson Bumgarner. Pansy was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Morganton Dye and Finishing. She was devoted to her family.Pansy is survived by her son, Rick A. Duckworth of Morganton; daughters, Judy Rominger and Gayle Bollinger and her husband, Kenneth, of Morganton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Pansy was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Kermit Duckworth; her second husband, Ed Puett; two brothers, Odell and Eugene Bumgarner; and three sisters, Juanita Bevel, Joyce Powell, and Ruby Odom..The graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 at Burke Memorial Park with the Rev. Ricky Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.
