Patricia Lynn Hudson

Patricia Lynn Hudson, 75 of Valdese, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2016. She was born in Burke County, NC on November 12, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Dewey Lee Abee and Ruth Lambert Abee. Patricia was a member of North Morganton Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Patricia loved her church and church family. She also loved to sing and work in her garden.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Baby Boy Hudson; and brothers, Danny Abee and David Abee.
Patricia is survived by husband, Charles Franklin Hudson I; daughters, Beth Ogle and husband, Rick and Barbie Hudson all of Valdese; sons, Chuck Hudson of Morganton, John Hudson and Scott Hudson both of Valdese; sister, Judy Abee Stroupe and husband, Vernon of Morganton; brother, Charles A. Abee and wife, Fran of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Rikki Ogle Carpenter and husband, Matt, Josh Hudson, Jacob Hudson, Jalyn Hudson, Matt Hudson, Miriam Hudson, and Jackson Wishon; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at North Morganton Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at North Morganton Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Valdese, NC.
