Patricia “Patty” Ollis Clarke, 79, of Morganton passed away at home after an extended illness on Sunday, November 21, 2021 while surrounded by her family. Born in Burke County, NC on April 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Reuben Millard Ollis and Flora Eula Barrier Ollis. Patty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from Broughton Hospital after 30 years of service and enjoyed cooking, traveling, and blue grass music. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Patty is survived by her husband, Dennis Clarke; son, Tommy Puett, Jr. (Kim); daughter, Dia Puett McCarrick (Jeff); step-sons, Joe Clarke (Marlee) and J.R. Clarke; grandchildren, Chance Carswell, Alexis Carswell, and Jocelyn McCarrick; brother, Kenneth Dean Ollis (Jackie); brother-in-law, Richard Puett (Miki); and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Puett, Sr.; and a brother, James Hayden Ollis.
A celebration of Patty’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 26, 2021 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Ellington officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AMOREM, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
