Patricia Ruth Brown Reavis

Patricia Ruth Brown Reavis, 65, of Drexel, NC, fell asleep in death on Wednesday, March 09, 2022, at 6:05 pm after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Cleveland, OH on July 13, 1956, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Ruth A. Brown.

Patsy [as she was known by family and friends] began her secular working career at Buster Brown in Morganton in the mid 70's. After graduation from WPCC in 1978, she went to work for the Lilly Co. where she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Lonnie Reavis, through his dad, Duard Reavis. They were married August 01, 1984. Patsy went back to school and acquired her CMA/CNA certifications and began a medical career, retiring from Broughton Hospital in 2020.

On addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie, only 16 days earlier, on February 21, 2022.

Patsy is survived by her brother, Steven and wife Fonda Brown; niece, Kimberly and husband Keenan Brown; one great niece Kierre and Ryan; two great nephews Kendell and Brittney, and Kendrick; three great-great nieces Adalee, River, and Mazelyn. Also surviving are three aunts, two uncles, stepdaughters Shannon King and Shawn Reavis, a host of cousins and her fur-baby, Duke

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs of Grace Hospital, [from the ER, to ICU, onto the floor in room 519] Amorem Hospice, Autumn Care and Sossoman Funeral Home for their dedicated care, service and respect. A special thanks to her cousin, who stuck by her side and helped make the journey a wee bit smoother, Linda Sue Elkin.

Patsy had great faith in our heavenly Father and His Son, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Now, she, along with the love of her life can rest in sweet sleep until they hear the words of our Lord to "wake up!!" John 5:28 & John 11:25,41-43.

In respect for Patsy's wishes, no service is planned at this time.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
