Paul Dean Ollis

Paul Dean Ollis, 60, of Morganton died Monday, January 18, 2016. Born July 21, 1955 in Burke County, he was a son of Edith Barrier Ollis Singleton of Rutherford College, NC and the late George Ollis. For many years, he worked as a custodian for the Burke County Schools. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Ollis.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Keith Lockard of Newton, NC; a daughter, Amy Champion of Morganton; his brothers and spouses, Johnny and Revonda Ollis of Jonas Ridge, NC, Cecil and Carolyn Ollis of Morganton, Joe and Martha Ollis of Morganton, David and Venie Singleton of Valdese, and Ricky and Deanna Singleton of Morganton; sisters, Marcella Ollis Crawford and husband, Steve, Rebecca Ollis Smith and husband, Jimmy, and Deborah Singleton Loftis all of Morganton; step-children, Tina Jarvis and Chad Wiles.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The memorial service will follow in the funeral home Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Crawford officiating.
