Paul was a very talented writer & photographer & enjoyed his work at The Paper immensely. He was friendly & enjoyed life to the fullest. Will be missed by all who knew him. I looked forward to his reviews on music festivals & especially Rock music. Deepest sympathy to the family & especially his dear mother Cordie. Rest in peace my friend.
To the family : I am so sorry for your loss! Please know that I will be praying for all of you. Peace & comfort for the days ahead.
Well with a sad heart we say goodbye to a good friend and a classmate of Salem High 1971, my Mother and I moved from Hickory to the Salem area in 1966 in the middle of the e eighth grade, Paul was the first person I met and we became close friends and didn’t live to far from him ( on a different note that was where I was given the nickname Herb I will spare you who I was named after ) Paul was a very good fisherman, I saw him put a rubber alligator on his hook and caught a pretty good size large mouth bass. I am not going to say goodbye but I will see you in heaven. To his mother Cordie Toni & I love you so very much and to the rest of the family the same. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and he will guide you.
I went to Salem with Paul and he was always so kind and had a sweet smile for everyone. I know all of you will miss him. Sending my condolences to you and praying that God gives you peace and comfort now and in the coming days.
