Paul Edwin "Buzz" Clark

Paul Edwin "Buzz" Clark, 73 of Morris Loop, Morganton, NC died Monday, September 28, 2009 at his residence following a period of declining health. Born June 11, 1936 in Burke County, NC, he was a son of the late Clingman Postell Clark and Annie Katherine Byrd Clark. Buzz loved the Lord and was a member of Westview Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed restoring antique cars. He was devoted to his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Curry; a brother, Robert Clark; and a sister, Mary Ella Clark Erb.Surviving are his wife, Glennis Blalock Clark of the home; a son, Dennis Clark and his wife, Jackie of Morganton; daughters, Kathy Clark Franklin and her husband, Joe, Susan Clark Curry and her husband, Bill all of Union Mills, NC, and Glenda Clark Hayes and her husband, Todd of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Morgan Hayes, Jordan Hayes, Bradley Jones, Brandi Berry, Travis Jones, and Brent Curry; great grandchildren, Chase and Emily Duckworth, Dylan Jones, Braydon and Holden Curry; a brother, Derrill Clark of Morganton; and a sister, Maxine Clark Taylor of Morganton.A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Denton’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Alan Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary for one hour before the service. At other times the family will be at the home, 5600 Morris Loop, Morganton.
