Paul Gibson Soper, 72, of Morganton, NC passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was born on October 16, 1951 in England to the late Cyril Hector Gibson Soper and Gwendolyn Grace Soper (Chudley).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John and Robert Soper; and sister, Jane Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife, Benita Soper; sons, Toby Soper, James Soper (Deborah), and William Soper (Anne); grandchildren, Liam, Octavia and Ophelia; and brother, Richard Soper.
Services will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Benita, you introduced Paul to me at our class at WPCC. He struck me as being a very affable person. He will be missed. I’m so saddened for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about Paul’s sudden death. I met him at Tai Chi at the Burke Senior Center. He was always so nice. Me and my church family has been praying for the family.

The way I will always remember Paul is by his smile and laughter. He was truly a friend that will never be forgotten. The brotherly hug we shared will always be a part of me. Benita if you or the boys need anything, I am here. I will keep you and the boys in my prayers
