Paul Gibson Soper, 72, of Morganton, NC passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was born on October 16, 1951 in England to the late Cyril Hector Gibson Soper and Gwendolyn Grace Soper (Chudley).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John and Robert Soper; and sister, Jane Armstrong.

He is survived by his wife, Benita Soper; sons, Toby Soper, James Soper (Deborah), and William Soper (Anne); grandchildren, Liam, Octavia and Ophelia; and brother, Richard Soper.

Services will be held at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Benita, you introduced Paul to me at our class at WPCC. He struck me as being a very affable person. He will be missed. I’m so saddened for your loss.
