Paulette Farmer Lewis, 72, of Drexel, NC died Monday, July 20, 2015. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on January 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Paul Farmer and Mary Pitt Farmer. Paulette was a member of South Mountain Baptist Church. She was an avid flower gardener, a great cook, and enjoyed being outdoors.
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Mrs. Lewis is survived by her daughter, Sharon Smith and her husband, Dean, of Morganton; a grandson, Robert Dean Smith; and a number of other extended family.
In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Lewis; and a son, Joseph Paul “Boots” Lewis.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2015 at South Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Deviney officiating. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Sharon Smith, Earley Avenue, Drexel, NC.
