Paulette Phillips Shatley

Paulette Phillips Shatley, 61, of Morganton, NC passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Born in Pulaski, VA on June 10, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Paul Junior Phillips and Virginia Katherine Robinson Phillips. Mrs. Shatley was a member of Souls Harvest Ministries and had worked at Southern Devices for over 25 years.

Paulette is survived by her children, Danny Phillips and his companion, Tiffani Sims, of Morganton, Bonnie Hunt and her husband, Leroy, of Morganton, and John Shatley and his wife, Donitia, of Morganton; grandchildren, Fatima Norman, Kameron Kiddy, Caleb Hunt and his fiancée, Katlyn Douglas,, Joshua Hunt, Issabella Shatley, and Sebastian Shatley; her twin brother, P.J. Phillips and his wife, Dottie; and sisters, Barbara Denton and her husband, Claude, and Frances Farmer and her husband, Robert.

In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Paul Henry Shatley.

The funeral will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Souls Harvest Ministries with the Rev. John Smiley and Pastor Danny Baker officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
