Pearl Justice Lambert, 81, of Morganton, NC passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on August 28, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Emilious Austin “Dick” Justice and Bonnie McCrary Justice. She was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church.
Pearl worked in the furniture industry at Henredon Furniture and Carr and Company. She was very creative. She taught oil and watercolor painting for many years and enjoyed many other crafts. One of her greatest pleasures in life was being a grandmother and playing the organ at church, which she did for 63 years. Mrs. Lambert also loved working with the senior choir at El Bethel for many years and being a member of the Choraleers.
Pearl is survived by her husband of 59 years, Curtis Ray Lambert of the home; a son, Stephen Curtis Lambert and wife, Sheila, of Simpsonville, SC; grandsons, Stephen Kurt Lambert and Kyle James Lambert, both of Simpsonville; sisters-in-law, Zennie Justice Carswell, Odean Justice, and Rose Justice; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by 3 brothers, William, Robert, and Ken Justice; and a sister, Cordelia Perry and husband, James.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at El Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at the church at 2 pm with the Rev. Ron Cooper and the Rev. Lawrence Roberson. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
