Perry L. Silvers, 69, of Morganton, NC, died Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Born in Haywood County, NC on February 12, 1955, he was the son of the late Dean Frank Silvers and Valerie Elizabeth Suttles Silvers.

Perry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Debbie Taylor Silvers; son, Jamie Silvers (Mandy); daughters, Deedee Taylor (Laura) and Brooke Rich; grandchildren, Bennett Silvers, Sadie Silvers, Calen Rich, and Locklyn Rich; brother, Ronald Silvers; sister, Shirley Plemmons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Silvers; brothers, Clyde, Glen, Eddie, and Larry Silvers; and sisters, Wilma Fisher, Darlene Carswell, and Mary Silvers.

Perry was a man of many talents who had a wonderful sense of humor. He adored his baby (Debbie) and his son (Jamie). He loved hunting, fishing, and collecting knives and Zippos. Above all that was the love he had for his grandchildren. He left a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. We will carry those memories in our heart forever. Thank you for being such a vital part of our lives. We will miss you every single day, but we will honor your memory by living with the same gratitude and strength you showed us.

A family celebration of Perry’s life will be held at a later date.
