Ralph Harbison Kincaid

Ralph Harbison Kincaid, 95, of Morganton, NC died on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Born in Burke County on May 22, 1921 Ralph was a son of the late Ben Kincaid and Effie Harbison Kincaid.
Ralph was a member of Mountain Grove United Methodist Church where he was the oldest living active member. He retired from Henredon Furniture.
Ralph is survived by his daughters, Effie Lorena Kincaid Arthur and husband, Mike of Monroe and Patricia “Patty” Kincaid Smith and husband, Leonard “Junior” of Morganton; grandchildren, Jaime Arthur Wallace and husband, Mike and Jesse Smith and wife, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Morgan Wallace and Gwendolyn Smith; and his canine companion, Dudley or as Ralph called him, “Sweetheart”.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Lorena Whisenant Kincaid; sisters, Nora Poole, Elizabeth Foster, Theresa Silver and Ruby Hemphill; and brothers, Alexander and Marvin Kincaid.
The family will receive friends, from 2 – 3 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Mountain Grove United Methodist Church on Fish Hatchery Road. The funeral service will be held in the church at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 2 with Rev. Keith Rose and Rev. Kathy McAbee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
