Randy Carmean

Randy Carmean, 62, of Morganton passed away Friday, November 10, 2017.  Born in Wake County, NC on November 4, 1955, he was the son of the late Elijah Randolph Carmean and Flora Watson Carmean.  Randy was working at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center as a health care technician.  He was a talented artist and a very caring person who will be missed.  He was an avid outdoorsman and collector of Native American artifacts, a hobby he started when he was 8.

Randy is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Penny Hollar Carmean; step-daughter, Elsa Watts and husband, Jeffrey, of Granite Falls, NC; step-son, Jonathan Medford and wife, Sally, of Whiteville, NC; step-grandchildren, Carrie and Riley Medford; and a sister, Janet C. Keller and husband, Richard Holcomb, of Raleigh, NC.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 13, 2017 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Dr. Charles Dickson officiating.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home following the service.
